Letters: Poth coach says goodbye, thank you
I thought this might be the best way to say thank you to everyone for what you have done for me, my family, and the children the past six years at Poth High School.
I decided on July 12 to take another coaching position at Jourdanton High School. As of right now, I will be working with the high school football team concentrating on the secondary. I will take over the boys basketball program for Josh Wadsworth, who left to take a similar position in Falls City. In the spring, I am taking over the girls softball program. I have taken on quite a challenge, but I am looking forward to it.
I want to thank the people of Poth for backing me and the boys basketball program the six years I spent in Poth. It was a lot of fun. I also want to thank the members of the Poth Golf Association for all they have done to help develop a golf program in Poth the last three years I have coached it. I had a great time working with your children.
I want to publicly thank Frank Hosek, the high school principal, the office staff, and my teaching associates at the school for six great years. I want to thank Jim of Photographs by Jim in Floresville for his great work over the years.
But most of all, thank you, Poth High School students. I will never forget the six wonderful years I spent with all of you. It has been my pleasure to teach, coach, counsel, etc. every one of you during my time in Poth. Good luck this year, and in all of your futures.
COACH FRED RADSKE Poth High School head basketball and golf coach, 2006-12
