Inez I. Hawkins, 102, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012, in La Vernia, Texas. She was born April 28, 1910, in Cambridge, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland A. Hawkins; and son Dale Peterson.

Inez is survived by her children, Rose Seib and husband Don, Jim Hawkins and wife Barbara, Don Hawkins and wife Geri, Patricia Cook and husband J.E. “Cookie,” and Linda Carrillo and husband Louie; 30 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was put to rest June 18 in the Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colo., alongside her husband.
