Offer condolences

“Katy” Shepard, 78, of Adkins, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012. She was born on Dec. 25, 1933, in Dayton, Ohio, to Frederick and Mary Kathrine (McConnell) Neibel.

She was a dedicated member of the La Vernia Garden Club and Grace Bible Church.

Katy was preceded in death by her parents; brother Richard B. Neibel; and a nephew, Richard B. Neibel Jr.

She is survived by her husband, George Shepard; children Kim Schmidt and husband Guy, Ray Shepard and wife Sandy, Karen Shepard, Mark Shepard, and Tom Shepard; grandchildren Justin, Hayden, and Elizabeth Shepard, Danika and Guy Schmidt Jr., and Kathryn Titus and husband Stephen; great-grandchildren Aubrey and Addisyn Titus; brother Tom Neibel and wife Ruthann; nieces Linda Brown, Sharon Lacey, Cindy Neibel, and Ann Hinders; and other loving family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 26, at 11:45 a.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio with Pastor Erin Weaver officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the La Vernia Garden Club.
