POTH -- The city of Poth is pleased to announce that the Ride to Remember committee has set up routes for the Sept. 8 event.

There will be a 12-mile family ride, or participants can choose from a 22-, 44-, or 66-mile ride. Additionally, there will be a 5K run/walk for those interested in something other than a ride.

Due to the concern of increased traffic in the area, the committee has hired eight extra members of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office to help patrol the route for the safety of riders. There will also be two additional citizen drivers added for rider pickup and repairs. Safety is very important to event organizers, and everyone is working to make this the safest ride so far.

Registration is available online through the city’s website at www.cityofpoth.org. The cost is $30 per rider for pre-registration, which includes a barbecue lunch and rider’s shirt.

For more information, email Travis Pruski at ridetoremember@cityofpoth.org or call 830-542-9797.
