Help Wanted

Very part-time help needed to feed cats, chickens, and horses, Monday-Friday, 2 times per day, morning after dawn but before 9 a.m. for approx. 30-45 minutes and p.m. before dark (summer about 6-8 p.m., winter 4-5 p.m.) for approx. 60-90 minutes. Suitable for someone who lives near location, which is exactly halfway between New Berlin and La Vernia. No smoking and requires working in all weather conditions. Mr. and Mrs. Joey Pierdolla of La Vernia, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtney Renee, to Jeffrey Morgan Plain, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Plain of Fort Scott, Kan.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William Sturrock Jr. of Pleasanton and the late Nelda Sturrock, and the late John and Gertrude Pierdolla, formerly of La Vernia.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Patsy Franklin of Gardner, Kan., Jack and Pauline Plain, the late Gary Franklin, and the late Leonard and Margaret Wilson, formerly of Fort Scott, Kan.

Courtney is a 2005 graduate of La Vernia High School and a 2011 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science specializing in human resources. She is currently employed with Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union.

Jeffrey is a 2005 graduate of Fort Scott High School and is currently employed with the Energy Transfer Co.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in the New Braunfels Bible Church, with a reception to follow in the New Braunfels Civic Center.
