Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wiatrek of Floresville, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brenda Gail Herber, to Rodney Paul Horner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Horner of Wichita, Kan.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and is a marketing manager for Alliance Seating & Mobility in New Braunfels.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Butler College and is a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army and an Iraq War veteran.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko, Texas.
