Take your favorite four-legged friend to the Dogs in the Garden event Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 4-5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the San Antonio Botanical Garden at 555 Funston Place at North New Braunfels in San Antonio.

Enjoy some quality time with your pet and treat them to a special lunch at the Carriage House Bistro. Pools of water will be available throughout the Garden for the animals to drink and “mutt mitts” will be provided for dog owners to help pick up after their pets. All dogs must be on a leash.

Participants can also add to the family by adopting a new pet from the San Antonio Animal Care Services Mobile Unit. Adoptions will take place from 8-11 a.m. both days.

Admission will be $8 for adults; $6 for students, seniors, and military; and $5 for children ages 3-13. Regular admission is required plus $5, cash only, per dog. The canine admission collected will be donated to the Animal Defense League, Animal Care Services, San Antonio Humane Society, and the San Antonio Botanical Society, co-partners of Dog Days. Parking is free.

For more information, visit or call 210-207-3250.
