Jordyn Kotzur, Brooke Young, and Katy Sells of the La Vernia FFA chapter were each awarded a $16,000 scholarship, sponsored by Houston Stock Show and Rodeo, at the 84th annual Texas FFA Convention held July 9-13 in Corpus Christi.

The students were awarded for their qualifications in academic achievement, leadership, SAE, FFA involvement, financial need, and personal interview.

Jordyn will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall, majoring in retail management.

Katy will be attending Texas Lutheran University, majoring in mathematics.

Brooke will be attending Texas A&M University and major in poultry science.
