FLORESVILLE -- The city of Floresville will be looking to fill the shoes of its interim comptroller, Tom Smith, as the contract employee has elected to take another position in Bulverde, according to Constituent Liaison Sherry Pollok.

Smith was employed on a contract basis and his employment with Floresville ended as of Aug. 1.

Smith was responsible for the reconciliation of many of the accounts for the city following a recent audit. He also created the system through which the city’s current proposed budget was drafted.

Smart man he knows when to cut bait and run and not go down with the incompetent city manager. Wish he would write us and tell us about what is really going on there behind closed doors
