Mildred Klipple Rihn Brown, a resident of Poth, Texas, entered eternal rest Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 12:20 a.m. in the Regency Manor Nursing Home in Floresville at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 14 days. Mildred was the third child born to Georgie Blanche Lucas and John Klipple Sr. on Dec. 14, 1929, in Corpus Christi.

She was a homemaker, a cook, a baker, and a jack-of-all-trades. She worked very hard her entire life alongside her first husband, Melvin, in their many business ventures, which included a restaurant and a convenience store. Mildred was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Melvin Rihn and Sammie Brown; her brothers, John Klipple Jr. and Edwin Klipple; and her sister, Georgie Ann Keller.

Mildred is survived by her children, Donald Rihn and wife Carolyn, Virginia Felux and husband Larry, and Ronald Rihn and wife Wanda; her eight grandchildren, Reesa Ellis, Carrie Bongiovi, Preston Felux, Bradley Rihn, Tommye Engelke, Dana Benavides, John Rion, and David Dillehay; her eight great-grandchildren, Tanner Thompson, Addison Ellis, Rylee Ellis, Charlie Bongiovi V, Hayden Engelke, Bryce Felux, Cooper Benavides, and Callie Benavides; her sister, Peggy McNurlin; brothers Bill Klipple Sr. and Henry Klipple; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Visitation began at 5 p.m. Monday, July 30, with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Poth.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth, officiated by the Rev. Grzegorz Szewczyk, S.D.S.

Interment followed at 2 p.m. in the San Fernando II Cemetery in San Antonio.

Serving as pallbearers were Brad Rihn, Preston Felux, Tanner Thompson, Charlie Bongiovi IV, Charlie Bongiovi V, Britt Ellis, and Drew Engelke.
