The staff and students of Floresville invite all incoming freshmen to the Link Crew Freshman Orientation on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon in the High School North Campus Gymnasium off S.H. 97 East.

Link Crew is a nationally known program that “links” successful juniors and seniors with groups of freshmen to assist with the transition from middle school to high school. Incoming freshmen who attend the orientation will be assigned a leader who will work with them at orientation and be available throughout the school year for guidance and support. Leaders also will plan social and academic meetings with their freshmen throughout the school year.

All incoming freshmen are invited to attend the orientation, where they will be given an opportunity to pick up their schedules and take a tour of the campus. Students should dress comfortably with gym-appropriate shoes; there is no need to take anything to orientation.

For more information, contact Link Crew coordinators Leann Drozd at 830-393-5370, Amy Carter at acarter@fisd.us, or Mike McReynolds at emcreynolds@fisd.us.
