LV offers PPCD program
The Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) provides educational services for children 3-5 years of age identified with physical, mental, perceptual, speech, language, social, and/or emotional disabilities.
Children with vision and/or hearing problems may be eligible for special education services beginning at birth. Children eligible for Section 504 services include those who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity.
If you are aware of a child who is suspected of having a disability and who resides in the La Vernia Independent School District, contact the La Vernia ISD Special Education office at 830-779-6600, ext. 4, for information about screening and evaluation services at no cost.
