Stockdale Elementary School will hold its Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the school at 503 S. Fourth St. in Stockdale.

Parents will be able to drop off school supplies, meet their child’s teacher, and complete registration paperwork while the kids play on the improved “Back 40,” the school’s lower-level playground, which is ready with several areas sure to be enjoyed by students.

The school’s main slogan this year is “Reading is Power,” with halls, classrooms, and other common areas decorated accordingly. A hot-air balloon sweeps away those entering the building because “Reading makes you soar to new heights.”
