Music fest to benefit Kicaster fire dept.
Kicaster Country Store, the “Southern Strangers,” and the Kicaster Volunteer Fire Department are thrilled to announce StrangerFest, the area’s largest all-day music festival Saturday, Aug. 25, from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Kicaster Country Store at the corner of F.M. 3432 and C.R. 324 in Adkins.
You will not want to miss a full day of great live music, including the “South Texas Wranglers,” James Pardo and the “Under Estimated,” the “Kyle Reed Band,” and “Roadside Libby,” plus several acoustic sets.
A plethora of activities will be available, such as horseshoe and washer tournaments, dancing, a variety of vendor booths, a silent auction, a dunking booth, a jumping castle, and a variety of kids’ items. Don’t forget about the great food and ice-cold beverages.
This all-day event is free; however, donations will be accepted as we stuff the fire boot, with all proceeds to benefit the Kicaster Volunteer Fire Department. The department is in dire need of a new brush truck.
General sponsors and a sponsor for the outdoor stage are still needed. Anyone interested in donating items for the silent auction or prizes should call 830-947-3731. In addition, any entertainers interested in performing should drop contact information off at the Kicaster Country Store.
