Golf tourney to help kids with cancer

SAN ANTONIO -- Golfers from the surrounding area are invited to participate in the 19th annual Bob Worrick Memorial Golf Tournament at The Republic Golf Club in San Antonio Saturday, Sept. 29. The tournament, which is sponsored by Hermann Sons Harmonia Lodge No. 1, benefits the American Cancer Society’s Camp Discovery for children with cancer.

The entry fee for the Florida Scramble format tournament is $95 per player, which includes a goodie bag, greens fees, range balls, cart, Mulligan, Throwsie, and awards luncheon. There will be prizes for the top teams and individuals, as well as door prizes. Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m., and the tournament begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
