Sharon Tudhope, 66, of Adkins, Texas, awakened to her eternal life on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012. She was born on Aug. 7, 1946, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of James Alexander Duckett and Rebecca J. Bratcher.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Traci Tudhope.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, George Tudhope; son Harper Scott Tudhope and wife Alexis of Adkins; daughter Lorri Bridges and husband Jerry of Magnolia, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 12, from 5-7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A celebration of her life was observed on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Pastor John McClean officiating.

Interment followed in the Sayers Cemetery in Bexar County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the San Antonio State School, Community Relations Department, P.O. Box 14700, San Antonio, TX 78214 in Traci Tudhope’s name.
