The La Vernia High School Band received second place overall in the class AAA 2012 ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series with their entry, “American Riversongs.” In addition, the band’s performance of the song “Noble Men” was selected as second place in the march category. “American Riversongs,” with its second-place award, earned a place on the ATSSB outstanding performance CD that will be sent out to more than 800 ATSSB band directors across the state of Texas. The CD will include the first-place march and the top two concert selection pieces.  . . .
