1943-2012

Rupert Wayne Wallace, 69, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, in Floresville.

Rupert is survived by his wife, Linda Wallace of Poth; son Danny Pressley of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughters Honey Knight and husband Lonnie of Poth and Candi Hawkins and husband Jason of Floresville; sisters Edith Mireles of North Carolina and Helen Yantis and husband Wayne of Marion; grandchildren Nicholas, Reyanne, Savannah, Summer, Drew, Brooke, Kristie, Taushlyn, Maddie, Kendall, Garrett, Kelsey, and Jessie; and great-grandchildren Bentley, Emma, and Jackson.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 2-8 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.

A funeral service was held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Interment followed in the Jourdanton City Cemetery in Jourdanton.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 6977 Main St., Houston, TX 77030.
