ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. The Poth senior class of 2013 will host a Labor Day Team Ropin’ and Mutton Bustin’ fund-raiser Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Floresville River Park roping arena, located at 600 S.H. 97, west of Floresville.

Books open at 10 a.m. with the roping set for 11 a.m. beginning with the No. 7 roping. Each roping class will run separately. Ropers will pick one and draw three for $80 per roper.

Prizes include a saddle to the high-point roper of the event. Belt buckles will be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-place finishers in the No. 7, No. 8, and No. 10 roping events. Belt buckles will be awarded to the first-place finishers in the No. 12 event.

Also, a mutton bustin’ event will be held for the children, with prizes to be awarded. Sheep will be provided by Lazy K Livestock. To enter or for more information, call 830-391-3078.
