ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. 1936-2012

Lloyd G. Kosub, 75, of Adkins, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012. He was born on Oct. 30, 1936, in San Antonio, to Erwin Roland Rompel and Erna Pape.

Lloyd worked at Roy Klossner for 20 years until he went into business for himself in 1980. He loved farming, bulldozing, and working outside, and he died doing what he loved.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfred Kosub, and his father, Erwin Rompel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rosalie (Shadrock) Kosub; daughter Karen Kosub of Adkins; sons Wayne Kosub and wife Kathleen and Thomas Kosub and wife Judith, all of St. Hedwig; grandchildren Daniel, Christine, Emily, Mark Russell, Lauren Kosub, Christopher Kosub, Jessica and Julie Kosub, Brooke Kosub, Paige Kosub, and Meg Kosub; mother Erna Kosub of Adkins; brothers Glenn Kosub and wife Iva Jane of Nixon and Allen Kosub and wife Myrna of Adkins; sisters Darlene Koehler and husband Dennis and Darnell Vader and husband Gary, all of Adkins; a special family friend, Lawrence Jackson of St. Hedwig; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving family and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.

A service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Interment will follow in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig.

Memorial contributions may be made by way of Masses.
