Annie K. Foerster
Annie K. Foerster, 98, of St. Hedwig, Texas, went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012. Annie was born on May 19, 1914, in St. Hedwig to Vincent and Martha Dylla Kosub. She was one of 10 children.
Annie married Andrew Foerster on Feb. 26, 1935, in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Andrew Foerster; daughter Josephine Solarczyk; great-granddaughter Sara Strey; sisters Dorothy Stanush, Mary Cielenski, and Bridget Zaiontz; brothers Lucas Kosub, Frank Kosub, and Marshall Kosub, and two infant brothers.
She is survived by her sons, August Foerster and wife Julia of Marion and Andrew Foerster and wife Shirley of Kirby; sister-in-law Justine Kosub of San Antonio; sister Lollie Wiatrek of St. Hedwig; grandchildren Margie Bilicek of Kirby, David Solarczyk and wife Donna of St. Hedwig, Cathy Schick and husband David of Martinez, Shelley Cavazos and husband Chris of New Braunfels, Jeff Foerster of Dallas, Keith Foerster and wife Cheri of San Antonio, Andrea Foerster of Cibolo, Tammy Groff and husband Pete of Castroville, Tracy Batey of Austin, and J.C. Batey and wife Jeanette of Marion; great-grandchildren Brandon Strey of San Antonio, Michael Bilicek of San Antonio, Christi Schick of Martinez, Daniel Schick of Oxford, Miss., Ashton Cowan, Kirsten Foerster, Caleb Cavazos, Dillon Cavazos, Aidan Batey, Madison Batey, Kyle White, Kalyn White, Corey Foerster, Cameron Foerster, Cody Groff, and Casey Groff; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig with the Rev. Paul Fiacek officiating.
Interment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig.
Pallbearers were Keith Foerster, Jeff Foerster, David Solarczyk, David Schick, Tracy Batey, and J.C. Batey.
