ABILENE -- Three area students have been accepted to Hardin-Simmons University and are enrolled for the fall 2012 semester.

New enrollees include Madison Mullins and Sarah Pierdolla, both of La Vernia and graduates of La Vernia High School; and Kelsie Piland of Pleasanton, a graduate of Pleasanton High School.

“We are delighted to have these new students as a part of the Hardin-Simmons University family. There are about 500 freshmen and transfer students new to HSU this fall. The new students join around 2,300 other current students enrolled at the main Abilene campus, as well as instructional sites in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, and Austin,” said Dr. Shane Davidson, vice president for enrollment and marketing.
