U.S. Rep. Francisco Canseco honored for service to seniors

SAN ANTONIO -- RetireSafe, representing more than 400,000 seniors nationwide, and joined by local senior advocates, has honored U.S. Rep. Francisco Canseco for his efforts to protect the health benefits and security of Texas’ seniors.
Yana Jurovitzki, director of communications and advocacy for RetireSafe, presented the RetireSafe “Standing Up For America’s Seniors” award commemorative plaque Aug. 22 at Canseco’s South San Antonio district office, recognizing Canseco’s accomplishments and service to older Americans.
A bipartisan group of members of Congress was also recognized by RetireSafe in their home districts throughout the August recess.
RetireSafe is a nonprofit, nonpartisan grass-roots organization that advocates and educates on behalf of America’s seniors on issues regarding Social Security, Medicare, health, and financial well-being.
