ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. 1944-2012

Leroy L. Rybak, 67, of Hallettsville, Texas, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012. He was born on Oct. 5, 1944, to Victor W. and Hermina Firasek Rybak in Schulenburg.

He married Joyce Veselka on May 30, 1970, in the Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church in Moravia. He had his own band, “Leroy Rybak’s Swinging Orchestra Polka Band.” He was a member of Texas National Guard, American Legion of Hallettsville, KJT, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. “On August 26, 2012, I lost my father and my best friend. Life will never be the same ... but angels have a new drummer up in Heaven,” said his son, Chris Rybak.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son Chris Rybak and wife Edita of Hallettsville; three sisters, Eunice Sparks of Moravia, and Betty Jean Kloesel and husband Dennis and Cyndi Martin and husband Keith, all of Houston; and grandchild Kristina Nicole Rybak.

A visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 4 p.m. in the Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville followed by a rosary at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church in Moravia.
