ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. 1916-2012

Rosa Mae Setliff passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 96 years and 22 days. She was born July 31, 1916, in Marlin, the daughter of Arthur Dow and Naome Montcrief. A former resident of Robstown, Rosa was a Nixon resident for the past 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Setliff; her granddaughter, Becky Wootan; her parents; and three brothers, Lee, Leslie, and Bill Dow.

Rosa is survived by her daughter, Judy Payne of Nixon; her son, Judge Don Setliff of Nixon; her grandchildren, Dona Zur, Kenneth West, Kimberly Allen, Anna Juarez, and Manuel Juarez Jr.; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. in The Faith Temple in Nixon.

A funeral service was held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Michael Cowey officiating.

Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pandora.

Serving as pallbearers were Derrick Allen, Cody Whitehead, Brice Whitehead, Austin McDonald, Manuel West, and David West.
