Frances Quintanilla Guerra, 74, of Stockdale, Texas, passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, in San Antonio. She was born on Feb. 16, 1938, in Denhawken to Inez (Rivas) and Fernando R. Quintanilla Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred Guerra; daughter Sandra Haak; and brothers Fernando, Daniel, Florentino, and Rene Quintanilla.

Frances is survived by her son, Larry Guerra and wife Irene of San Antonio; granddaughters Debra Klibert and husband Ryan of League City and Jessica Haak of Stockdale; great-grandchild Brent Klibert of League City; sisters Ella Treviño and husband Dan of Stockdale, Lucy Lerma and husband Jesse of Kingsbury, Clara Rangel of Floresville, Mary Ann Treviño of San Antonio, Sylvia Cantu and husband Henry of Stockdale, and Janie Villarreal and husband Rudolfo of San Antonio; brothers Lorenzo Quintanilla and wife Delores of Seguin, Sam Quintanilla of Victoria, Frank Quintanilla and wife Mary of Poth, and Rudy Quintanilla of Stockdale; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family; and many friends.

A rosary vigil was held on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral Mass was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockdale with the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date and time.

Memorial contributions may be made in Frances’s name by way of Mass intentions.
