Al and Sheri Boos of La Vernia, Texas, are delighted to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie, to Brent Wegner, the son of Dr. Robert and Sherrie Palan of La Vernia, and the late Harold Wegner, formerly of Austin.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Albert and Virginia Boos and Allan and Mary Petermeier, all of Universal City.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Merv Krause of Austin and the late Pat Krause, as well as the late Fred and Alma Wegner, formerly of Austin.

Katie is a 2006 graduate of La Vernia High School and a 2011 graduate of Concordia University Texas. She serves as the director of Youth and Family Ministries at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville.

Brent is also a 2006 graduate of La Vernia High School and currently serves in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He works at Lackland Air Force Base as an aircraft machinist and welder.

The couple plan to wed on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, in Universal City with a reception to follow in the Olympia Hills Country Club.

The couple will reside in Pflugerville, Texas.
