Field Appraiser. The Wilson Central Appraisal District is currently accepting applications for the position of Field Appraiser. Responsibilities include office and field work associated with the appraisal of residential property. Applicants must have a high school education or equivalent and have TDLR certification or be willing to complete requirements to obtain such certification.  Applicants must also possess good computer and people skills; have reliable transportation, and a valid Texas Driver License. SA Public Library to host Cantinflas Retrospective

In partnership with KLRN and the San Antonio Public Library Foundation, the San Antonio Public Library is pleased to announce that it will host “Cantinflas Retro: A Mario Moreno Retrospective” during Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

The retrospective is a collection of replica photos and movie posters from the life and career of Mario Moreno, known around the world as “Cantinflas,” the iconic everyman character who represents the people of Mexico.

In addition, the library will host Cantinflas movie screenings at most branch libraries throughout the month and a lecture on his life and career.

In order to provide the best opportunity for the community to see the exhibit, the library has secured space at the UTSA Downtown Campus and Texas A&M University-San Antonio to share in the display of the retrospective. Movie posters and photos will be available for public viewing at the Central Library Gallery, 600 Soledad St., the UTSA Downtown Campus Gallery, 501 Cesar E. Chavez Blvd., and the art space inside Texas A&M University-San Antonio, One University Way.
