Texas Syndicate gang member on the run since 2009

AUSTIN -- The reward for Javier Morin Jr., 40, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and this month’s featured fugitive, has increased to $17,500 for information leading to his capture if the tip comes in during the month of September. Texas Crime Stoppers tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Morin’s last known address was in Corpus Christi, and he is wanted for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Failure to Appear. The Texas Syndicate gang member’s convictions include Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Evading Arrest, Theft, Burglary and DWI. (The photos from above are from 2003 and 2002, respectively.)

Morin is 5 feet 7 inches tall and was last known to weigh approximately 150 pounds. He has multiple tattoos: a skull/Joker on his outside upper right arm; “Ariel” on the back of his neck; "Javier Morin" on his upper back; and “Texas” his lower back.

For more information on Morin, view his wanted poster at: http://www.dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted/fugitiveDetails.aspx?id=3.

One offender from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program is featured each month in hopes the higher reward money from the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division will generate additional tips. The higher reward amount will only be paid if the tip comes in the same month the fugitive is featured.

Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in four different ways:
Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
Text the letters DPS--followed by your tip--to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook tip messages are anonymous.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders ( http://www.dps.texas.gov/texas10mostwanted/).

Do not attempt to apprehend these fugitives; they are considered armed and dangerous.

40 years old, and 150 pounds. Just throw him a paper sack and drop him off at the county jail.
