Dedication, leadership, and tradition. All words very heavily associated with the Floresville FFA Chapter, and words that each year are redefined with the upcoming members and current rising stars throughout our FFA chapter.

We kicked off the summer by organizing a field trip to Lyssy and Eckel Feeds, in order to get a clearer understanding of exactly where our feed comes from and the transformation it takes on from the field to our animals’ feed bowls.

We then visited Boening Dairy, where the chapter was taught the exact goings on of milking dairy cows, and how difficult of an industry it really is.

It wasn’t long before our FFA gang was back together to attend the FFA State Convention held every year. This year the convention was held in Corpus and although there were roughly 10,000 FFA members and guests present, our chapter made sure to stand out by casting our carefully thought-out votes in order to launch state and national officer candidates into their new positions.

The summer was great; however, our chapter isn’t going to stop there, and there are numerous things to be done this year.

Taylor Wall serves as Floresville FFA Reporter.
