Panfilo ‘P.C.’ Casarez

1954-2012

Panfilo “P.C.” Casarez went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 58 years, 7 months, and 10 days. He was born Jan. 25, 1954, in El Campo, the son of Marcella and Cruz Casarez Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Stockdale.

P.C. was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stockdale and the Masonic Lodge No. 470 in Stockdale, and was the minister of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Stockdale for 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his brothers, Cruz Casarez Jr. and Robert Casarez.

P.C. is survived by his wife, Minerva Casarez of Stockdale; his mother, Marcella Adame of Dallas; his grandmother, Anita Casarez of Stockdale; his daughter, Belinda Casarez Garcia of Stockdale; and his son, Jared Casarez of Stockdale. He is also survived by his sisters, Olivia Lerma of Duncanville and Teresa Casarez of Garland; his brothers, Larry Casarez of Houston, Richard Casarez of Garland, and Fernando Casarez of Rowlett; his grandson, Daniel Diego Garcia of Stockdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Stockdale.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale City Cemetery in Stockdale.

Serving as pallbearers were Larry Casarez, Richard Cararez, Fernando Casarez, Frank Jimenez Jr., Jacob Jimenez, and Israel Jimenez.
