Immanuel Lutheran Church is now hiring for a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Pastoral: Minister to youth and their families during Sunday School and other church programs, being present in their lives outside the church walls, available for common concerns and in crisis situations. Leadership: Recruit and nurture Youth and Family Ministry program. Administration : Manage the planning process and coordinate with Pastor and Youth Committee all regular ministries to youth and their families. This includes youth of all ages on Sunday mornings and mid-week events; assisting with Confirmation, special events, trips and retreats, and parent meetings. Stewardship: Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of youth programs, manage youth ministry budget, and collaborate with the sponsors of each Youth group. Ability to build, lead, and empower youth. Ability to implement a ministry vision. Familiarity with Lutheran Doctrine required; must be comfortable teaching it and representing Lutheran Theology. Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, email, internet, and social media. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to adapt and evaluate curriculum preferred. Must have excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and listening skills, with a high degree of initiative and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills required, with sensitivity to church members and visitors. Understanding and enjoyment of youth and families and guiding their spiritual development. Florence Kyrish Dugi passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at the age of 72. She was born in Panna Maria, Texas, on April 21, 1940, to Julia Dzuik and Henry Kyrish Sr.

On Nov. 18, 1961, she married Elias Dugi in Kosciusko. For more than 50 years, she was a devoted spouse, mother, and grandmother. Florence is remembered as a very religious and caring person who was devoted to her family and friends. She was also a member of the St. Ann’s Altar Rosary Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Henry Kyrish Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Sczepanik.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Karen Herber and husband Charles of Kosciusko, Jackie Gawlik and husband Bobby, and Cynthia Moy and husband Dennis, all of Falls City, and Diane Bayer and husband Kenneth of Floresville; son Mark Dugi and wife Kim of Kosciusko; brother Leon Kyrish and wife Dene of Canyon Lake; grandchildren Cherrelle Herber-Friesenhahn, Dannielle, Skip, Brianna, and Abbagaile Herber, Justin, Clarissa, and Blake Gawlik, Taylor and Skylar Moy, Victoria and Bethany Bayer, and Hunter and Rhett Dugi; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation took place on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko.

A funeral Mass was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Jan Szpilka and the Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating.

Interment followed in St. Ann’s Parish Cemetery in Kosciusko.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 8161 F.M. 541 E., Stockdale, TX 78160.
