Stockdale cross-country runners compete in Yoakum

YOAKUM -- The Stockdale High School cross-country team participated in the Yoakum cross-country 1.76-mile run Saturday, Sept. 1.

In boys competition, Jordan Jackson led the way for the Brahmas, finishing the course with a time of 10:17. Austin Gonzales was close behind at 10:33, and Perry Bone turned in a run of 11 minutes flat. Samuel Scriven ran the distance in 11:49, Austin Akin was 9 seconds back at 11:58, and William Morris rounded out the Brahma roster with his time of 12:39.

On the girls side, Vanessa Urrabazo led the way in 14 minutes, 28 seconds. Victoria Lerma had a time of 15:55, and Kelsea Perez finished the course with a time of 16:04.

The Stockdale runners were scheduled to compete in Moulton last weekend, and will be at the University of Texas at San Antonio meet this Saturday, Sept. 15.
