ESD No. 12 orders rescue vehicle
ST. HEDWIG -- Bexar County Emergency Services District (ESD) No. 12, based in St. Hedwig, has ordered a new rescue vehicle.
ESD commissioners provided a status report on the vehicle during their Aug. 29 meeting. Commissioners heard the vehicle is expected to be complete by Oct. 17, according to information provided to the St. Hedwig Volunteer Fire Department (VFD), the contracted provider for fire services for ESD No. 12. The St. Hedwig VFD also briefed the board on grants applied for by the department.
In other business, the ESD board reviewed the fire department’s expenditures for July as presented and approved payment of service provider bills for the month.
Bexar County ESD No. 12 holds regular meetings, usually on the second Wednesday of the month.
“Meetings recently have changed because of scheduling issues,” said Leon Nickles, one of the commissioners. He added that the second Wednesday schedule should resume in October.
For more information about this ESD, call Nickles at 210-416-9852.
