Tinker to speak at Trinity
SAN ANTONIO -- Scott W. Tinker, director of the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas at Austin and state geologist of Texas, will discuss the future of energy and screen the film, “Switch,” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in the Laurie Auditorium, as part of the Trinity University Distinguished Scientists Lecture Series. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Tinker brings straight answers from the people driving energy today: international leaders of government, industry, and academia, and proposes a path to our future that is surprisingly and remarkably pragmatic. Most recently, he produced and is featured in the acclaimed documentary film on global energy, “Switch,” which explores the future of energy, from coal to solar, oil to biofuels.
