Webcam captures home burglary in Sutherland Springs
This man (top photo) is one of two suspects who Wilson County Sheriff’s Office deputies suspect of breaking into a home on C.R. 314 Sept. 4. He is described as being white or Hispanic, standing between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and having short-cut, dark brown hair, a goatee, and moustache. The suspect has a thin build and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He is in his early 30s and is heavily tattooed on both arms, with a smaller tattoo on the left side of his neck. He was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, and black gloves. The suspect is believed to be 23 to 30 years old and weigh 180 to 225 pounds. He was wearing a pink T-shirt and baggy khaki pants. He had a large tattoo on his left forearm and was wearing socks on his hands.

SUTHERLAND SPRINGS -- Deputies from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office are searching for two men who broke into a home on C.R. 314 southwest of here Sept. 4.

Sheriff’s Investigator Richard Nichols said the victim became aware of the incident when his smartphone began receiving messages from his home computer just after 11:30 a.m. The computer, which was equipped with a webcam, began sending photographs of two men who had forced their way into the home. Deputies were dispatched to the home at noon.

When the deputies arrived however, the suspects -- who fled after realizing their actions were being recorded -- could not be located. The victim reported that nothing was stolen from the home.

Deputies are searching for two white or Hispanic males, both standing between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. Both men had short-cut, dark brown hair and had goatees and moustaches.

Nichols said the first suspect is described as being 23 to 30 years old and weighing 180 to 225 pounds. He was wearing a pink T-shirt and baggy khaki pants. He had a large tattoo on his left forearm and was wearing socks on his hands.

The second suspect, Nichols said, has a thin build and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He is in his early 30s and is heavily tattooed on both arms, with a smaller tattoo on the left side of his neck. He was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, and black gloves.

Nichols reminds residents to be vigilant and to watch out for their neighbors. He also suggests being mindful of any suspicious vehicles -- being sure to jot down make, model, color, and license plate number -- and promptly reporting them to law-enforcement personnel.

Anyone with information about the Sept. 4 burglary on C.R. 314 is asked to call the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 830-393-2535.
