Search ongoing for missing Floresville teen
Juanita Marie Jimenez
FLORESVILLE -- It was Aug. 19 when 16-year-old Juanita Marie Jimenez of Floresville told her mother that she was going to see a movie and then visit a friend. Since then, officers from the Floresville Police Department and personnel from the Heidi Search Center have been working to help locate her.
Lt. Chad Clark of the Floresville Police Department said at approximately noon on Aug. 19, Juanita told her mother that she was going to the Arcadia Theatre on Third Street in downtown Floresville. From there, she was to visit the home of a friend in the Highland Oaks Apartments off U.S. 181 in Floresville. The report taken Aug. 23 by Floresville Patrolman Eric Hutchinson indicates Juanita never made it to her friend’s house.
According to a flyer being distributed by the Heidi Search Center, Juanita was last seen at the Arcadia at 7 p.m. on Aug. 19. She stands 4 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighs 110 pounds. Juanita has black hair with highlights.
When Juanita disappeared, she was wearing black Dickie brand jeans, a red T-shirt, and black open-toed sandals. She was carrying a black purse and wearing a James Avery charm bracelet, a gold necklace with a unicorn, and silver earrings.
Clark said Juanita has a history of running away from home. She last ran away in January before being found in February.
According to Heidi Search Center caseworker Alisa Reynolds, Juanita’s family said she could be with friends either in Austin or San Antonio. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Heidi Search Center at 1-800-547-4435 or the Floresville Police Department at 830-393-4055.
