Eagle Ford: Magor plans Oct. 2 opening in La Vernia
LA VERNIA -- Barbara Magor, one of Registered Representative magazine’s top 100 Financial Advisors for 2011, has scheduled the grand opening of her office here Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 4-7 p.m. The office is located at 13212 U.S. 87 W., Suite 200.
Her firm, EFS Generation Income Planning, is a subsidiary of American Investment Planners, LLC. American Investment Planners, now in La Vernia, is a full-service financial planning firm that has been providing financial services for more than three decades nationwide. Magor offers all phases of financial planning, including investment management, retirement needs analysis, income tax and estate planning, and insurance.
The self-confessed eternal optimist met the man of her dreams while “... searching for the open spaces on the Internet of virtual farming.” Love brought her to La Vernia.
Magor now focuses on family asset protection and capital preservation in an area that is conveniently located in one of the largest oil and natural gas formations in U.S. history.
She graduated from Baruch College with honors and earned her MBA in statistics and computer science, then began her career on Wall Street working in equity research, where she developed a keen eye for evaluating investments.
“What matters most is whether an investment is appropriate for the client’s needs,” Magor said. “In fact, the older I’ve become, the greater appreciation I have for emotional as well as financial security. It’s not just about the returns. It’s about sleeping at night with your decisions.”
She welcomes client involvement in the planning process.
“The more involved they get, the more meaningful the decisions,” she said. “Now they not only listen to my recommendations, they understand them.”
Magor is a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Financial Consultant. Contact Magor at 210-865-7299 or email@example.com.
