1932-2012

Juanita Haynes Hester DuBose went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. She was born to Robert and Jessie Haynes on March 15, 1932, in Leesville, Texas.

Juanita was employed at American National Insurance and Lipton Tea in Galveston. She was a founding member of the Galveston Water Ski Club and the Leesville Country Fair, and was a member of the Dewville Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Castle Haynes and Bess Jones; her husbands, Donald O. Hester and Walter E. DuBose; and her stepdaughters, Adrianna Miller and Laura Crump.

Juanita is survived by her son, Donald Paul Hester; stepchildren Niki Wise, Walter Scott DuBose and wife Tracey, and Gary DuBose and wife Margie; her siblings, Helen Taylor, Esther Moore, Pat Haynes and wife Jeannine, Robert Haynes, and Brad Haynes and wife Lanelle; grandchildren Dustin Hester and wife Jennifer, Cody Hester, Brandon Ussery, Christopher and Casey Miller, and LeAnn Crump; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, Sept. 21, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment followed in the Dewville Cemetery in Gonzales County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
