ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Guadalupe Rodriguez Sr., 80, of Nixon, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. He was born Feb. 26, 1932, in Gonzales to Manuel and Anastacia (Ramos) Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Jimmy Rodriguez and Johnny Rodriguez.

Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Mary (Sistos) Rodriguez; sons Guadalupe Rodriguez Jr. and Joe Rodriguez, both of Nixon; daughters Nierma Rodriguez, Linda Rodriguez, and Sylvia Rodriguez, all of Nixon, Nancy Hernandez, Norma Medina, and Lucy Garcia, all of Lubbock, Mary Molina of Seguin, and Hortencia Vela of Schulenburg; brother Luis Rodriguez of Seguin; sisters Juanita Ramirez of Nixon, Rosa Moreno of Gatesville, Dora Riojas of Corpus Christi, and Mary Ramirez of Kenedy; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and many friends.

Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 24, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with a vigil service at 6 p.m.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment followed in the Nixon Latin American Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Justin Leal, Jeremy Rodriguez, Michael Medina, Jason Vela, Brian Garcia, and Dwayne Molina.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
