Ramona Ann Gerard Lambeck
1962-2012

Steven Desmer Lambeck and Ramona Ann Gerard Lambeck both went to be with their Lord Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. Steven was born on June 18, 1956, in Seguin, Texas, to Arnold and Helen Lambeck of Stockdale. Ramona was born on May 31, 1962, to Clarville and Margaret Gerard of Lacassine, La.

Steve was 9 years old when the family moved to England for his father’s work. They lived in England for 2-1/2 years. After briefly moving back to the states, they moved to Bahrain. Steve graduated high school from the International School in Bahrain. He then entered a training program with Brown & Root to learn all aspects of the overseas oil business, continuing to work for Brown & Root after completing the program. Steve thoroughly enjoyed his work and continued in the international oil business until 2010 when he came back to the states to work.

Ramona grew up in Lacassine, La. She graduated from Lacassine High School in 1980 and from McNeese State University in 1984, with a degree in accounting. She was a longtime employee of Jack Lawton Inc. and Global Industries, where she met the love of her life, Steve, and started her journey with him. On June 2, 2006, Steve and Ramona were married in Seguin. They loved each other dearly. After working and living both overseas and stateside, they built a home and settled in Stockdale. Here they could be close to Steve’s children, Chillon, Carter, Tyson, and Taylor, and grandchildren Haden, Hennessy, Heston, and Hudson. Their grandkids were the joy of their lives. Ramona loved them all as her own. Steve and Ramona’s lives were filled with all the joy family and friends could offer. We loved them dearly and they will be missed by all. We will see you when we get there, the family said.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hannah and Arnold Lambeck Sr. and Desmer and Zeanette Springs, all formerly of Stockdale; and brother Arnold David Lambeck, formerly of Stockdale.

Steve is survived by his children, Chillon Montgomery and husband Mark of Helotes, and Carter Lambeck and wife Sherry, Tyson Lambeck, and Taylor Lambeck, all of Stockdale; parents Helen and Arnold Lambeck Jr. of Stockdale; siblings Vernon Lambeck and wife JoDea and Laura Snyder and husband Lonnie, all of Stockdale; grandchildren Haden, Hennessy, Heston, and Hudson of Helotes; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Ramona was preceded in death by her father, Clarville Gerard.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Gerard; siblings Ernestine Day and husband Woody of Baton Rouge, La., Amanda Gerard of Lacassine, La., and Amy Camille Gerard and companion David Barber of Moss Bluff, La.; and godchild Kalee Fuselier.

Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 23, from 6-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.
