La Vernia church plans turkey dinner

St. Ann Catholic Church annual Turkey Festival will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, in the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce Park located on U.S. 87 in La Vernia.

A turkey and dressing dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at $8 per plate. Eat-in or drive-thru options will be available. Other activities include kids’ games starting at 11 a.m.; a silent auction from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and an auction at 1 p.m.

A country store will be open, with items such as homemade goodies, preserves, bread, plants, and gifts available for purchase.
