FLORESVILLE -- The Floresville Tiger junior varsity football team put together its best performance of the season last week with a great team effort en route to a 26-0 win over Lanier.

Setting the tone for the Tigers was the offensive line of Jody Trevino, Roland Aylesworth, Malik Lehmberg, Eric Chavez-Soliz, Joshia Ramirez, and Tyler Sanchez. There were running lanes all night for Cesar Hernandez and Marcus Avila, and both were able to score on short touchdown runs in the game. Also playing well for the offense was quarterback Josh Jeffreys, who connected on a nice pass to Dillon Gaither for the Tigers’ first and second scores of the night. Aaron Balles put 2 extra points through the uprights to add to the scoring.

Defensively, the Tigers continued their tough play with some physical play from Gaither, Ramirez, Sebastian Rodriguez, Tony Grimaldo, C.J. Felux, Jose Carrizales, and Jesus Avila. The Tigers also got a defensive touchdown on the second fumble recovery of the night by Luke Smith on a whistle blitz.

The Tigers dominated from start to finish and the final score showed it with a 26-0 victory.
