Editor:

Once again we are faced with a serious but important decision this coming November. Much has taken place within the past few months, much has been stated about the two parties involved, and the two candidates have started throwing rocks at each other.

Being born and raised in Laredo, my father used to tell me that all candidates running for any office were good people. The difference being that he would support and vote for the ones that showed interest in making the city more prosperous and, more importantly, who cared about the welfare of their constituents. And so growing up and learning more about politics, I valued my father’s advice.

In this great country of ours, we are given the privilege to vote for the person(s) who we believe are best to represent our country and the welfare of our people. We have the right to voice our own opinion of all candidates involved, whether it is a Republican or Democrat. This forthcoming election, I urge you to seriously look and consider the two facts I’ve mentioned.

Personally, I believe that both candidates running for U.S. president are fully qualified. The difference being that President Obama has led and struggled the past four years leading our country. I truly believe that he has done a remarkable job considering the consequences he started with.

On the other hand, if Romney takes over, I know we stand to go back four years and start all over again. It makes no sense to me.

Remember that your vote counts, so be sure to vote. It is important to vote for the candidate of your choice. Salga a votar por la persona de su preferencia!

Based on the Presidential performance in the debate last night, the republican victory in Texas should be greater than in 2008. Are all of you democrats proud of your candidate ? :)
