Am I missing something? The gross revenues for the upcoming FY should be equal to the amount from the last FY, shouldn't it. The lower rate times the increase in property value should equal the same as last FY. Was there a $60K shortfall last year?

DTR, It was stated at the meeting that the lower trash rates are not reflected in the budget.

The city manager is overpaid and there are probably a few more of the mayors relatives working for city that are overpaid. We just need to look and cut the fat off that we don't need and I'm sure that would be more then enough to cover it. These are hard times for all and instead of raising taxes see where the city can cut back on spending. Like don't pay with a city check when you go yo a function Mr Mayor. Government spending needs to really be checked

Hello Floresville Tigers, Hey Eric about the trash bid it was a close bid. IESI, won the close bid. The following week Republic representative showed up and offered a lower bid to the city. Eric, that is why I decided to run for Mayor for the city of Floresville. We need to take this city and put people in charge of the city. Eric I am not sure ,but I think the 1 million dollar savings that the new trash contractor saved the city was already put into the budget ,therefore that will not help out ... Read More

DTR, due to an increase in sales tax revenue and cheaper trash rate's our city will be recieving more money this year. As I mention cheaper trash rates I still find it interesting that IESI had bigger trash cans and a cheaper bid but did not get the contract therefore are taxes could possibly have been lowered even more and the city still would be operating with a larger budget than the year before.

I hope the person who thanked Morones and Guerrero in Lodi for cutting taxes and works for the city,is not one of the persons who will loose there job due to the 60k lost in this decision.They finally got a vote in there favor.It may be a moral victory for them ,that unfortunately will cause lost services of police protection or other city employees.United we stand divided we fall!See you at the polls!
