DPS offers $5K reward for violent sex offender
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office has sought 36-year-old Juan Jose Villa of Floresville on three arrest warrants dating back to 2008. Now, Villa has made the Texas Department of Public Safety’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List, and a $5,000 cash reward is being offered for information leading to his capture.
According to records from the sheriff’s office, Villa has absconded. His warrants are related to charges of:
•Failure to appear, indecency with a child by sexual contact, issued Sept. 9, 2008.
•Failure to appear, deadly conduct by discharging a firearm, issued Sept. 9, 2008.
•Failure to register as a sex offender, issued Sept. 18, 2008.
According to Villa’s wanted poster, he also has charges related to theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and evading arrest or detention. His last known address was a home on Creek Top Drive, north of Floresville.
In 1996, Villa was arrested in Milwaukee, Wis., for exposing himself to a child. Then in 1999, he was accused of exposing himself to three female juveniles on two separate occasions in San Antonio. He subsequently was arrested and sentenced to six years in prison.
Villa was born in San Antonio, where his friends and relatives still live. He has been known to work as an auto mechanic, tire repairman, and floor buffer and floor stripper, according to the DPS.
Villa is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighing 240 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and multiple scars. Villa’s wanted poster can be viewed at http://bit.ly/V7O1xO.
Authorities urge members of the general public not to attempt to apprehend Villa, as he is considered armed and dangerous. Instead, anonymous tips can be submitted to:
