The Jack Anglin Memorial Foundation will hold its second annual benefit and dance Saturday, Oct. 13, from 4 p.m. to midnight in the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce at 12301 U.S. 87.

Enjoy a live and silent auction, a dinner and dance, and live music to be provided by “The Southern Strangers” and “The Zach Ryan Band.” Presale tickets will be $15 or $20 at the door, with all proceeds supporting youth exhibitors at local livestock shows. Tickets are available at Elsa’s St. Hedwig Café, GVEC-La Vernia, St. Hedwig Feed & Supply, and Adkins Materials.

The foundation was established in the spring of 2011, in memory of the late Jack Anglin Jr. by his wife and children. To celebrate his life and to honor his memory and devotion to his children, all proceeds raised by the foundation will be used to support the youth who have placed animals at area county junior livestock shows. The foundation believes that agricultural education helps prepare students for success and helps teach them to make informed decisions in many areas of their lives.

For more information, contact Diane Anglin at 210-274-9202 or jackanglinmemorial@hotmail.com.
