STOCKDALE -- In addition to the football and volleyball teams, members of the Stockdale High School cross-country team have also been busy in September, competing in the UTSA and Poteet meets.

Ethan Chavez led the Brahma varsity runners with his time of 20:17, followed closely by teammate Jordan Jackson, who finished the course in 20:19. Austin Akin turned in a time of 21:27, Austin Gonzales had a time of 21:45, and William Morris was the fifth Brahma to finish at 22:50. Samuel Scriven ran the course in 23:23, Tristan Marquez had a time of 25:11, Perry Bone did it in 27:22, and Zachary Campbell finished in a time of 27:35. Victoria Lerma led all Lady Brahma runners with her time of 18:01, followed by Kelsey Perez at 19:26, and Kaitlyn Morris at 19:47.

The team then traveled to Poteet Sept. 22, and all of the runners quickened their pace with the different course.

In varsity boys competition, Jackson led the Brahmas with a time of 19:20, followed by Chavez at 19:22, and Akin at 20:01.
