1925-2012

Elroy R. Stahl, 87, of Floresville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. He was born on Sept. 7, 1925, in the Black Hill area to Charles Ludwig and Ida (Hering) Stahl.

Elroy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harold and Marvin Stahl; and sisters Edna Lowak and Alice Wolff.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Edna Mae Stahl of Floresville; son Carl Stahl and wife Loretta of La Vernia; grandchildren Shelly Martin and husband Jason of San Antonio and Lisa Wright and husband Lance of Stockdale; great-grandchildren Jason Martin Jr. and Trenton Martin of San Antonio, and Claire McKale Wright of Stockdale; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 28, from 9-10 a.m. in the Church of Christ in Floresville.

A funeral service followed on Friday at 10 a.m. in the church with Thomas W. Bonham officiating.

Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
