The San Antonio River Authority (SARA) invites the community to celebrate Spring Branch River Park’s first anniversary Saturday, Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the park grounds at 100 East Fannin St. in Goliad.

The event will feature a free barbecue for the first 200 attendees, as well as live music, a Frisbee toss contest on Goliad’s first nine-hole disc golf course, face painting for the children, and more. Plus, from noon to 1 p.m., children and adults can participate in a closest-to-the-hole contest for a variety of fun prizes.

For information, contact Karen Opiela at 210-302-3280 or kareno@sara-tx.org.
